The next stop was Granada.. I was pretty excited about this.  I absolutely loved Granada last time we were in Spain (and let’s face it, the free tapas had a lot to do with it).  We made our way through some incredible countryside on the way.. huge sweeping plains, areas of vineyards and then rolling hills covered in olive tree groves as far as the eye could see. A 30th in Valencia!

After a delayed flight from Rome due to massive storms, and a delayed last train from the airport to city centre in Barcelona… and a metro station that was closed… and a taxi ride due to the closed metro… we eventually arrived at our accommodation in Barcelona… at close to 1.00am (thank god for Spaniards thinking this is a reasonable time to go out, and thus our airbnb host happily waiting for us before he started his evening).   Continue reading Tapas, sangria and spewing in metro stations.. welcome to Spain!
