After our short stay in Dubrovnik we headed further north (enjoying the view of the lovely coastline of Croatia along the way). We were meeting Dash in Split, so before that decided to have a few days to relax not far from there. So we found ourselves in Kastel Stari. A small town area just further north/west of Split. It was a quiet little area, which was just what we wanted. We really didn’t do much other than eat ice cream (‘sladoled’ in Croatian, as Ian liked to repeat several thousand times a day), swim and drink cheap Croatian wine.

Dusky sky in Kastel Stari. It was lovely to sit by the water and enjoy some Croatian wine.

We did manage a day trip a bit further along the coast to Trogir, a pretty little old town.
